Entry 119 - Signs of the ego vs unconditioned Consciousness

10/17/19

Signs of the Ego:

Demanding attention for something that you did.

Giving your opinion when no one asked for it, and when it makes no difference for the current situation.

Trying to get attention by talking about your problems, or the hard and horrible situations that you've gone through, or making a scene.

Being more concerned about how the other person sees you rather than the other person.

In every situation, you treat yourself like you're the center of the universe.

With any situation, you only see things from your perspective, and you see your perspective as the only correct one.

You are right, they are wrong. Even if you're wrong, they don't understand how they are actually also wrong in your eyes as well.

It doesn't matter if they're perfect, you still find fault in someone and blow it up, complain, and gossip about it.

You grow animosity towards people who criticize you because it diminishes your ego and threatens your egos' existence.

You don't care if it hurts people, but you seek negative attention for yourself and for others.

You put others down by laughing at them at the expense of their own happiness and comfort for your pleasure and ego gratification.

You like to see people in pain because it makes your ego feel better.

You like to put people down and call them negative names because it strengthens your egos' perception of itself.

You have a very high view of yourself in an unhealthy way.

You often find yourself in situations where you're hurting other people either verbally or physically.

You often find yourself attracting people with similar egos and similar pain-bodies.

You oftentimes see the world or situations in a negative and pessimistic way.

You embrace talking yourself down for the risks and mistakes you've made and look forward to them because your ego survives off of that.

You believe the ego and think you must live a life of sensual pleasure and addiction because everyone's going to die anyway.

You are quick to find fault with others, but are completely oblivious to how you affect others.

Signs of Unconditioned Consciousness:

You enjoy the present moment.

You're aware of every word you say, and everything you do and how it is affecting you and those around you.

You care about your well-being and the well-being of others.

You're quick to apologize and quick to forgive.

You have empathy and compassion for those who are unconscious of how they've hurt you.

You help awaken people.

You choose joy over misery.

You take full responsibility for your perspective, beliefs and actions.
