Entry 256 - Life is Short

6/8/20

You kind of hit a point in your life where you really realize the saying “Life is short.” Like you don’t just hear it and understand it, but you experience it firsthand and that’s when the saying becomes real to you. When you see those words unfold as reality right in front of you.

Your precious dog dies.

Someone you love just committed suicide.

A third of the world is on fire.

A quarter of the world's animals do not exist anymore.

A virus is steadily killing people off and causing everything to shut down and for people to be quarantined.

Then you sit there and realize it. With life so short, why am I wasting my precious life to please others when most people aren’t even pleased with themselves? Why am I allowing the opinions of others who haven’t done their own soul work to bring me down?

In life, you aren’t judged at the end for how many people agreed with who you are and your lifestyle, but your acceptance of yourself and others with God's divine love.
